Any suggestions on brand/company on getting a new oil trap overnighted? No local store has, nor can get one.

About the trap overnight if you decide to get one:

fcpeuro.com.

And see this link (https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 3&start=28, post 28), your best bet is to buy both the oil trap and the elbow hose, unless you remember for sure that yours is the straight or angled type, in that case just the trap is safe.

I drive about, at the most, 100 miles per week just to and from work. The car has about 110 miles on it. And I believe it is leaking because of my two or three of my usual parking spots all have oil spots. That and the oil I have in my engine bay. I can see smoke when its running and im under the hood, but not oil. Only when you drive the car and then get back under the hood that you see oil.

Car have ONLY 110k miles on the clock?

Do you actually see blue smoke from the exhaust?

Water vapours from condensation out of the exhaust in cold weather is normal.

What do you mean you see smoke under the hood when engine is running?

misha is correct when he said if oil trap is original, replace. I could blow through mine and all the individual hoses, but the system was still clogged somewhere. So since one can not see the interior of the oil trap, it is suspect.

Also vapor coming out the dipstick tube is normal in cool weather. It's whether there is positive or negative pressure in the crankcase that is crucial.

Yes only 110 and the odometer works. Im only the second owner after a sweet elderly lady. The exhaust doesn't smoke at all that I have ever seen. The only smoke im seeing is from the oil dipstick tube when parked, idling and im looking under the hood and its coming out of the dipstick tube. And then oil spewed around that area after driving it.

Before you do anything...replace seals (o-rings)on dipstick.
If it's orange(fluorescent) there are 2 of them and if it's red, there is only one.

Replace them and report results. If there are still problems,we will go further.

With 110k miles on the clock that engine is practically still a baby.Of course...if it wasn't neglected or abused with iregular oil changes & filters.
