97 850 wagon - child seat tether anchor?

Post by Matic00 »

Hi all,
My daughter is getting to the age where it's time to flip the car seat to be forward facing. I know these wagons have the mounting points, but I cant seem to track down a child seat anchor kit. Has anyone run across these, know of a universal kit, rigged one up or have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I gave mine away to someone on the board last year. I suggest you put a WTB ad in the parts classified and get someone to likewise give you one!

Hi,

you can pick them up from any parts store I believe.I picked one up from Canadian Tire here in Canada, and knowing that they don't stock Volvo specific parts, their anchor worked perfectly. Therefore it must be universal for most cars. Or maybe order one online.

If you can't find a Volvo specific anchor, I used U bolts in two older Mercedes that I used to have. Required some drilling and the use of lock nuts, but it was certainly secure and not expensive.
