2000 S40 Cruise Control Module location?

Post by dcman411 »

Hey everyone, i really need help trying to find the exact location of the CCM because my cruise control is not working and needs to be replaced. I know it needs to be replaced because i had a diagnostic done on it a few years ago, but the mechanic wanted to charge me around $150 to replace it, so i just said "what the heck with it" and been without cruise control ever since. Now i want to get a used CCM from a junkyard and install it myself, but i am having a hard time trying to find it even with my Haynes manual, which doesn't have any pictures relating to the removal or installation. Anyone know where it is located exactly?
Thanks!

I replied to a parallel post elsewhere. One other thing: Volvo uses "CCM" for Climate Control Module. You're talking about the Cruise "Control Unit," I believe.
