I have a 2004 Volvo S40 new body style that has no defrost to the windshield but everything else in the climate unit works properly. Had the car looked at and came back with Code CCM-0070 climate unit communication with component fault and CCM-DD33 defrost damper motor missing. Suggested repair is a new climate box at $2200. Is it possible that the damper motor is just bad? but how hard is it to reach and check or is it a known issue with the heater case?
