Hey all,
I have a really strange issue occurring in my 01 Volvo S-40
My Speedometer will work when the weather is cool or the engine is just warming up but after a few minutes of driving the speedo shuts off and the ABS light and an exclamation point light comes on. My speedo is off and my odometer is off but everything else works, rpm, engine temp, etc. I have taken it into 3 different mechanics now and each one is completely puzzled. I would guess maybe a fuse but I am constantly checking and thats not the issue. I would then guess maybe some shotty wiring of some sort?
If anyone has any idea what the hell is going on I would love some info! The error code for the comp is p0507 but from my research it doesn't sound like this is a typical problem with these cars.
Thanks!

I did not know where to post this but I too am getting a p0507 code. I have had the timing changed and had the coolant sensor replaced. This got rid of the engine code temporarily enough to get the car passed through emissions testing. Now it's back. Does anyone have any "how to's" to get this cleared ? Like how to clean the IAC properly and the MAF and the throttle body cleaning. These are things I can do myself. But after spending $1400.00 dollars I don't have any more budget. But the good news is the car passed smog and the CEL light stayed out long enough for me to get through emissions.
