I have just purchased a 2003 XC90 T6, 48000 miles. When I start the car it is idled high (2000 rpm) it goes up and down twice for about 10 seconds and then runs fine. Is this normal? Any advice.
Thanks

Don't know about the up and down twice and settling back down, but on many FWD and AWD Volvo's it does go high on start-up. Seems that you still have a couple thousand miles left on your warranty unless you bought the extended one. If you're really concerned about it, take it into the dealer. While there, get all of your other concerns with the car covered as well before your warranty expires.

I have had the turbo cleaned at the dealership, it runs great now. No addn'l. problems.
