gas overflow

gas overflow

why does my gas overflow out when I top ir off. Sorry, I should have explained that I dont get any first click at all as i'm filling up so I can't tell that its already full,does anyone know why..

Just stop when the pump handle clicks off. Don't top it off.

Because the tank is full. Topping off is pouring more liquid into a already full container.

Topping up in these cars can lead to evap system problems down the road. Don't top up. It is actually bad for the car.
