All resolved now. I appreciate all of the input. I took it for a test spin again and noticed the clunking was mostly coming from the left. So I pulled that strut out and basically took it apart and put it back together again. I tried to be meticulous with reassembly, including making sure the stud on the sway bar links were perpendicular.

I must've done something wrong along the way before, because the clunks are gone now. Whew. Thanks again for all the input. This site has helped me save prob $1500+ in front end work just this month.
