Boost Gauge heads up viewable.

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

Boost Gauge heads up viewable.

Post by Ben850 »

Just a goof.
A friend was cleaning his storage and found this piece he had come across years earlier.

This being a beautiful old gauge. A Cast metal housing, water sealed ring to enclose pane glass and accurate workings.
By itself, not so menacing.

I had thoughts of seeing a heads up display of boost under the rear view. That was in my N/A.

It has found value hanging in my room for the Winter as a conversation piece, but will actually come in handy, using a few couplers, and adapters to gauge boost controls and actuators.

It will only take two people to work, but may be as accurate as can be? It is nearly 11" across and fairly heavy. I may weigh it and add to this post later.

I do know it functions, and will look really important hanging from the inside of my N/A hood searching for vacuum leaks.

I plan to find uses. I have many adapters and hoses.
Real photos to come.

I am now officially a nerd. I am ok with that.

Regarding the photo in the above post, the cluster I had scrapped from a '95 turbo seemed to have a working odometer.?
