2001 S80 Factory radio swap HU 601 to HU601

Hello Guys, I have a perfectly working HU 601 radio, but its an eyesore being seriously worn etc. I can have a mint condition HU 601 for peanuts and I am wondering if a swap of the same radio type will work plug&play? I heard about issues when changing to another radio model (lost of steering wheel radio control, no lighting except oin the display ets) which could onluy be solved bys expensive stealership magic if at all. Do you have any idea if changing a radio unit the same model will work without any issues? Thanks in advance for your kind help.
