2003 volvo v70 TRANSMISSION ADAPTABILITY MODE IN VIDA

Has anyone used the ADAPTABILITY MODE in Vida, how does it work ? I would be grateful for any information posted on this subject, just bought a 2003 V70 FWD wagon, and the tranny is acting up, seems to shift into gear 2 when put into any forward gear, as in it slips into gear smoothly, then about 5 to 7 seconds later shifts in again HARD ? Does anyone have an idea on the problem, transmission was swapped out last year, it's an AISIN/WARNER 55/51 NS.

I forgot to mention in your PM this IS NOT NECESSARY NOW and I recommend that you do not do it, all you may do is make it worse.
Adaption reset will NOT make this better, a new or rebuilt valvebody will!
You need to pull all stored codes, (you say you have VIDA), If you have no solenoid codes a simple valvebody rebuild should fix this and THEN you do the adaptions.

If you already changed the fluid and that did not help, your next move is to rebuild the valvebody

Agree - if you already did a flush and the problem is still there then you need to rebuild, replace your solenoids or valve body. My guess is your solenoids are sticking and you can get by by replacing or rebuilding them. Not a bad project, plus you will do a flush equivalent during the refill. Do a search, plenty of posts on the valve body.
