2006 XC90 Oil low stop safely light

Today was a below 0 degrees F day and while driving the message center came on with a red triangle and said oil low stop safely. When I stopped it said oil low shut off engine so I did. Waited for the oil to settle and checked it, it was within the hash marks on the upper side. Had the oil and filter changed and it still came on. This message would not come on when the engine was started or at idle but came on when driven. I then took it to the car wash (with an undercarriage wash) and drove slowly across the undercarriage spray. When I left the car wash...no more message. Must have been somthing frozen or somthing. Just thought I would share, hope it doesn't come back.
