05 S80 2.5T - Corner Lights only on when turn signal active?

Hello fellow S80 owners,

can anyone tell me if the Corner Lights (the amber lights) are supposed to be on when the engine is running? Is this a special situation for the 2005 model year?

Whether I am in "auto" mode, or "parking light" mode, or "headlight" mode, the only time these come on is when the turn signals are active.

The headlights are always on in the "auto" and "headlight" modes. No headlights in the "parking light" mode.

Is this normal or do I have to look into something?
