2000 Volvo s80, Smoke from the left low beam bulb

hello,

I have a strange problem.

When I turn on the lights I see a smoke coming from the left low,beam bulb and she is melting ( all others lights working fine ). when trying to take the bulb off she is very hot while the connectors and wires are cold..

Can find any idea what can be wro g and how to fix this problem..

Can someone help to find how to resolve this problem ? ;(

could be a defective bulb
get a new bulb and see if the problem gets fixed
