2001 v70T5 Drivers side high beam not working

Post by snoturtle »

Hi all :)

I went to get my car inspected and it failed for no high beam on the drivers side.
No big deal I will get bulbs and replace both high beam light.
Or so I thought :(

Passenger side works fine and I am not getting a message on the screen inside.
Have checked fuses and swapped bulbs from side to side to make sure good.

What have I missed?

Thanks for any help

I had a similar issue and had to replace the electrical connector that plugs into the light. After multiple bulb changes over the years, the plastic connector didn't hold up. New ones are pretty cheap from IPD. I'd recommend you do both sides. Cut and splice.
Good luck.

I second that, had same problem. I was getting a message in the warning box though.

Hi,

Take the bulb connector out turn the high beam on and test it with multimeter if you are getting tension if yes than is a bad bulb or connector, if no check the connector cables are they on place you can compare them with the other side, if everything looks fine than i would guess the problem would be in the cable somewhere from the high beam switch or a bad switch.
