1995 850 got a free new radiator from a s70 2000
Got a few more parts for free too only thing is that this radiator has its coolant passage ways in different places than my crappy leaking radiator. I think the difference is the new one came from a turbo and mine is a non-turbo. I plan on plugging the extra hole up and moving forward. Comments ideas welcome.

The oil cooler sockets for the transmission cooler are different. If you are careful you can remove the sockets from the old radiator and re-install them on the 2000 radiator. Do the sockets one at a time so that the cooler doesn't relocate itself inside of the radiator tank. I used a whole gob of RTV around the socket as well which may or may not be necessary since it has an O ring but I figured it couldn't hurt. The alternative is to get the transmission oil cooler lines from the 2000 model and swap the lines. The two styles of sockets don't play well together.
Since you have a N/A you don't have an engine cooler to deal with which is good since the '99 and 2000 engine oil cooler got re-designed and it isn't in the radiator.
You also have a barb on the top of the radiator which is for the overflow tank line on the later model cars. Just cap it off with a rubber cap and a small hose clamp and leave your overflow out of the top of the thermostat housing.

The oil cooler lines from an 2000 are not directly interchangeable to earlier 'boxes. One of them mounts at a different point and becomes unsecured.....having done this on my 1999 V70 NA when I added an earlier 850 transmission. Best way is to swap the cooler sockets at the radiator.

Good to know.
For this one, Lee is talking about the trans cooler sockets. Fortunately for OP the car in question is an NA.

Good point Erik!! Reminder to oneself; have three cups of coffee instead of the usual two.
The trans cooler ports can stay open if it's an NA. There will be no coolant loss. If you want to be sure in case the trans cooler becomes breached you can plug them with cut down bolts of the same thread.
