'93 850, Could the VIN be wrong?

The single, driver's side rear fog light is a US mandated thing. You can only have one in the US, so they installed that blanking plate. I've gotten pulled over in bad storms in my 98 S70 for officers thinking I have a burnt out tail light, so I finally popped that blanking plate out and put a bulb in. I highly doubt someone went through the trouble to swap a manual to an automatic...that would require a rewire.
