I've dealt with a handful of people with cluster issues but it's almost always the 98 clusters.
I personally dont think that either, but until the fault is found and corrected I am open to all possibilities and ideas :) The only problem is that my fault are so intermittent, so for everything I try, I will have to drive the car for a while to figure out if the repair has worked. I will only know for sure that the fault is corrected in the repair, if the fault is a visible "no brainer" (like a bad wire etc.) or a measurable one. If it isnt that I will just have to wait and see if the speedometer suddenly fails again after the "repair".....

Do you desire to read/clear trouble codes from both the ABS and COMBI, and read the freeze frame for any COMBI trouble codes?

If yes, some tools that can do one or more of the above are:

- Vol-FCR (and appropriate kind of VAG/COM KKL cable for your version of Vol-FCR),
- Brick-Diag Free v0.0.6.6 (and VAG/COM KKL USB cable, either FTDI-based or CH340-based),
- volvo850diag (and ELM327 cable, followed by interpreting by kwpd3b0_interpreter.html).

volvo850diag will do all the items mentioned in the 1st sentence.
