1998 S70 Connecting external amp to battery
Does anyone know the best way to run the wiring needed to connect an external amp located in the trunk to the battery and the audio head unit? Thanks.

Greetings. I believe I found this info on Volvospeed. Lift passenger side carpet . Pull down from firewall. There is a rubber grommet that you can go run power wire through . You may have to remove glovebox to gain space. I believe there is a " X" cut into the insulation marking the spot. You may have to cut a hole thru the grommet. Tighter the hole helps eliminate leaks. Use tire dressing to help grease wire thru hole. Run power wire along firewall in engine area, secure with zip wraps. Run power wire to trunk on passenger side of car . Lift door jams. Lift carpet. Run wire along floor board against the side to avoid being stepped on. Remove rear seat. Tuck to the side, under rear panel. Hopes this helps.

Run RCA lines from radio under center console. Use a straighten coathanger with a loop on one end . Tape RCA wire to it and pull wires under carpet to rear driver side door. Run wire under drivers seat carpet and trim to rear of car. This helps to keep the sound signal from bleeding into the power signal, avoiding alternator whine.
