It is unfortunate that the scam is running on both sides.
Buyers using "dissatisfaction of any sorts" to claim refund; then returning used parts -- in some cases keeping purchased parts with slightest defect for pennies.
Conversely, Sellers drop-ship returning items using the mega shipper's just-in-time tracking system - moving item from buyer-to-buyer while en-route. Making money along the way on restocking fee.
It is becoming a frustrating experience working with no face online retailers.
Latest for me is HO2 sensors.

I had been fooled few times when bought from ebay. Seller described that item is in UK where actually it has arrived from china... So I had to pay VAT and other taxes plus shipping time was very long. Now I always chat with seller before buying something. If he do not respond or response is slow and poor I do not buy, because if seller do not talks with you before buy forget about any support after you pay him. From my experience ebay offering much better support than aliexpress. My claim with Ali is till in progress I do not expect results this month:(

Yet, I would go ahead and procure one to better maintain my two cars.
The Volvo's, the original, is priced reasonably, see it here at amazon https://www.amazon.com/2012A-VOLVO-VIDA-DICE-Diagnostic/dp/B008E8CF12
The temptation for a lower cost is unbeatable. Aside from Reviews, has anyone tried a Live Support before ordering http://www.uobd2.com/wholesale/volvo-vida-dice-diagnostic-tool-1618.html?gclid=CPfLjvCnxbcCFcU7Mgodtz4ALg
the later link is dead, can not open it. I am not sure whether it is the same :
http://www.uobd2.net/wholesale/volvo-vi ... -1618.html
they have upgraded it to 2014Ver.
They are not showing what is inside. 99% it will be rubbish.
Shipping price are insane knowing that they are shipping from China.
You have no safety buying from such site. Ebay is much better place if you wan to play lottery.
If you lose on ebay you will get refund.
Talking from my experience and lost money...

There's no need to pay any more and zero problems with any of them.
The quoted link shows system requirements (scroll down at little).
Exploring cn90's install method on:
IBM Thinkpad R50e/ Pentium 1.6 Centrino Mobile/ 2GB DDR RAM/ 40GB w/20GB Free Space/ XP Home SP1.
So is this still the consensus vida to get? does it have green board and works well?
Wanna confirm before pulling the trigger! Cheers

That is the one I have (same vendor) and it worked perfectly. I did pull it apart to see what the board was and it was a green board.

Interestingly I contacted the vendor and the picture of the PCB sent to me was blue. Also there were several capacitors sticking out unlike the original one few pages back.Ozark Lee wrote:That is the one I have (same vendor) and it worked perfectly. The capacitors are on the top side of the boards.
The underside is shown in coflynn's post of both the genuine Dice and the Teleca made one. BTW mine is a green Teleca board and is still working after 4 years.
I got my faulty one that I stored away for 4 years out the other day, hooked it up to a Vida station and lo and behold it works fine!!. I took it apart and found a green Teleca board. Sold it to the local indie Volvo repairer and he says it's working fine
