I am upgrading to a SC-901 headunit. I don't have the Dolby processor or an external amp. Has anyone had any luck using the external amp from a C70 -- PN 3533798-4969 (4 x 100) as an amplifier? If so, how does it mount and where? Several on offer now come "with harness" but is the harness compatible with the SC - 901?

The current ads are a bit cagey about fitment advertising this unit as compatible with a 1998-2004 C70 and "many be compatible" with other models.

Anybody been down this road before?

From what I have read they are not worth the trouble.
