I'm hoping someone can help me with this...
My 91 volvo 240 was having low idle issues on start up when it's cold.
To try to fix the problem I cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the flame trap, replaced the idle control valve and the intake accordion hose.
After that, the check engine light came on and stays on: fault codes 2-2-3 (signal missing to/from IAC valve) and 1-1-3 (fuel injectors)....and, was still getting the low idle at start up.
So then... I replaced the TPS, triple checked all throttle settings, replaced the coolant temp sensor, cleaned the injectors and replaced the o-rings, replaced the connector to the IAC valve, checked the O2 sensor which checks out fine, new air filter and new plugs, checked for vacuum leaks-none that I can find. No change.
I've read that the 1-1-3 code is a secondary code-- that I need to remedy the first one first-- is that true? If so, what could be causing the missing signal to/from the IAC?
Also, when I remove fuse #6 for the fuel injectors the CEL goes off the next time I start the car. Is this normal-- or some sort of wiring issue?

LH 2.4 system, code 113 means "Mixture incorrect;(or) O2S wiring fault"91volvo240 wrote:I have LH 2.4
I think a wiring trace from IAC to computer is in order...

Here is the pin-out for LH 2.4...do continuity check for IAC's wires91volvo240 wrote:I have LH 2.4
Inspect IAC's terminal connector...are all pins intack.
Disconnect battery, and unplug ECU from its harness...use electrical contact cleaner on both sides, let it dry, then re-insert.
Make sure all engine grounds are fit for duty.
How did you check O2 sensor?
In those URLs I've cited, one explains how to test AMM and IAC...

I went ahead and ordered a new O2 sensor, just in case my readings were wrong. It's probably due to be replaced anyway. Hopefully it will solve everything. Not sure if it will solve the missing signal to/from the IAC, but I will give your suggestions a try and post back.
Thank you so much for all of your help!!
