I installed the new 02 sensor, but it didn't make any difference. The fault codes came back again.
I've checked the AMM and the IAC-- everything checks out fine.
As I was checking resistance on the control unit connector, I noticed that the readings were off on the TPS.
The service manual says to connect the ohm meter between ground an no.2-- the reading should be 0 (switch closed), then depress the gas pedal and resistance should increase to 2-3 kohm (throttle switch opens).
When I performed this test, I got 3 kohm without pressing the gas pedal. So, I adjusted the TPS until I got a reading of 0 with the throttle closed-- but the "click" I'm supposed to here from the TPS is gone when I do that-- so that means it's not adjusted properly right?
What am I doing wrong? It's a brand new TPS.
