1999 S80 HU-801 CD player problems

The CD player isn't working. It won't play any CD. I try to eject the CDs and get a CD ERROR message. I tried popping out the fuses to reset but it didn't help any. Anyone have any ideas? If not, can someone describe the steps to remove the player? I saw someone comment that it isn't too difficult.

Try the following. With a credit card or something thin try to push it towards where the CDs come out, this may help release the CD if there is one stuck. I had a similar problem and the dealer replaced the readio, I later had the same problem with the new readio and guess what the CDs came out quite easy. I had to do it back again later

Any ideas how to remove a CD player from S80, 2001? Same problem, I inserted a CD disc and now can't eject it and "error" message on the screen. Probably CD changer was full, but I did not pay attention on it. HELP!

Hey, thanks for the tip! I had the same problem with my stereo, fixed it fine, only thing now is that there was a CD that is lost, still in there or something. Its not a burned CD either, so I'm kinda ticked. Do you have any ideas on how to get a CD out that it doesn't register as in any of the CD slots?

Thank you so much for the tip. I've had this happen twice now as well. First time the dealer replaced the unit. I wasn't looking forward to another two trips to the shop. The credit card trick worked like a charm. Again, thanks.
