'94 850 - Need Assistance w/Parking Brake

Post by IG-88A »

Hello.
I ordered all new parking brake parts. I figured out how they come apart and go back together. No problems there. But when I go to install the new rotor, it won't clear the bottom portion of the parking brake shoes enough to fit against the hub. The adjuster screw up top is all the way down, so I have plenty of clearance there. But how do you bring the bottom halves together? I must be missing something.

Nevermind. I just grabbed everything in one big handful and pulled up. Now everything fits. Apparently something wasn't fully seated and whatever it was wasn't obvious to the naked eye. Sorry for taking up space.

Wish all my repair hangups could be solved that way. When working on electrical stuff, I sometimes have the urge to just grab a big handful and pull up.
