97 NA 850 few broken plastic parts

After 169 K miles my radiator developed few small cracks. Yesterday, I replaced it with the new one. Everything went as planned but I managed to break the orange plastic ring on the oil dip stick and two plastic clips on the fan's shroud that hold wire bundles in place.
Two questions
1. Where can I buy plastic clips (except dealership) and save few $.
2. Can I get any Volvo dip stick from junk yard or it has to be 97 850 NA specific.

You have to be careful when getting a replacement oil dip-stick. There are variations, and some won't fit some of the tubes and others are too loose in the tubes. Also you need to be careful with the length of tube you use as I believe (maybe wrongly) that they can affect the position of the markings in the oil pan, giving false low/high readings. If you have the old orange, single 'O'-ring version, I believe they are now no longer available. They were replaced with a red 2 'O' ring version and you have to change the tube also. If I recall there is a part number stamped on some of the dip-stick shafts, and if there is make sure you get the correct one, or speak to a dealer to get the upgrade part #, and go to a junk yard and get one there. If you change to the newer one, pull the tube also. You could get the clips you need there also, but chances are they will also break as they are 18 years old and brittle.

If you take the old dip stick to the dealer they can sometimes match it for length. The junk yard is always an option but get the tube as well.
