Suggestions for repainting steering wheel?

Hey - I have a 2000 S70 and have a cosmetic question about the steering wheel. My steering wheel is grey in the center and the wheel itself is a really light ivory color. Unfortunately, the ivory dye/paint around the wheel has worn off over the years. I stopped at the dealer the other day to see if they had some type of touch-up paint or even a custom leather wrap that I could put on and they do not. They suggest a whole new steering wheel (of course!) at a cost of $450.00. I hate the look and feel of aftermarket wraps and refuse to put one on. So, I've been online and it looks like I can purchase vinyl/leather paint and I'm thinking I could just touch it up myself. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem but it looks fantastic now and feels great too.

The wrap is called a Wheel skin. You can look for them by doing a google search but I bought mine here: http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsCat.aspx? ... RootID=629
It takes about an hour to sew it on and everything you need to do the job comes in the box. Anyone can do it...easy, cheap and gives yourself more circumference to grip!
