Hello! Looking for help on diagnosing my 2000 Volvo S70 (203,000mi). I changed my tires today and after doing so, my Volvo started making a knocking noise. The knocking comes from the drivers side front wheel well. I can also feel a shacking that is consistent with the knocking. The knocking is more violent when driving in a straight line. When the car is turning the knocking decreases. Additionally, when accelerating, the knocking is essentially nonexistent. The knocking is most prevelent when coasting or breaking. Not sure what it could be. But I did change my tires today and I'm not sure if that has any affect on the issue at all. I didn't have this problem yesterday at all. Any and all help/advice would be welcome! Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have loose lug nuts or a tire that's very unbalanced.

It does sound like loose lug nuts.

The other thing it could be is a bad CV joint, but that would be unlikely to be caused by a wheel change.
