We've updated our reliability stats for the S40 / V50 to include owner experiences through March 31, 2013.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2008 S40 / V50: 81, high, very small sample size
2007 S40 / V50: 38, low, very small sample size
2006 S40 / V50: 125, high, very small sample size
2005 S40 / V50: 118, high, small sample size
2001 S40 / V40: 117, high, very small sample size

We'll have further updates in August and in November. For the details, including the descriptions of reported repairs, and to sign up to help get rid of those "small sample size" notes:
