I am just wondering if changing the PCV system will improve MPG? Im averaging about 24 right now but I did the glove test and need to change the system. I pulled the dipstick up and drove around like that and somehow my mpg shot up to 27. Of course, I had some oil spattered around under the hood so I put the dipstick back in.
As a side note, anyone got any ideas how to relieve pressure until I can get to the box?

To relieve the pressure we have had a couple of members hook up a hose from the dipstick tube to a milk jug.
I typically get better mileage after I service the PCV but I attribute much of that to plugging up vacuum leaks that go in tandem with the PCV repairs. I typically do other stuff like clean the throttle body and some other tune up stuff while I am at it so it isn't a fair comparison.
