Need someone who has been there, done this before here.
I've got 7 95-98 850-V70's in my stable, have done many head gaskets and other repairs but never seen this. Car is a 1998 S70 turbo with about 120k, bought with a "blown head gasket" no other problems, had water in oil. Did a routine head gasket, no obvious cracks in head and was not sent out for bench test. Never have seen one cracked yet and have done ones that got pretty hot. Car runs perfect now, No oil in water, no water in oil. BUT Crankcase pressurizes within minutes of startup so much that it blows oil out almost every seal. All breather/hoses checked or replaced, new breather box. No pressure in coolant system either. Smooth running, no overheat and good power, no misses. Can it be from the turbo?? Or??
My first post here and I look forward to lending much advice as well, Just stuck on this one.

Ugh. It might be the crankcase breather slot is plugged which will give you a lot of crankcase pressure with a turbo. Mike (precopster) has some good pix of this.
Its a teardown to put this right, unfortunately.

Interested in this internal PCV system, are there passages NOT accessible from outside block? Have of course done all the hoses, breather box and cleaned the ports on block making sure they are clear to internal galley. I have been using copper pipe and silicone hose to replace the plastic piping on these cars with great results. The car in question here remains stock however.

Turns out problem was the valve at the intake hose. Where the hose from breather box comes in. A chunk of debris, Likely just picked up while installing new hose plugged up the small hole into intake hose. Cleaned valve and car runs fine now.

Top of large fresh air intake hose from air filter box to turbo. Sits on top at the turbo end. Had elect connector and hose to breather system at front of engine.

That’s the PTC nipple, correct. It’s actually not a valve, just a hole. It is a maintenance item to be removed and cleaned every 60,000 miles if I remember right
It’s the main source of vacuum for the PVC box
