2013 XC70 Jiggly Ride or is it just me?
Took a low mileage (less then 20K) 2013 XC70 T6 for a test drive this week and noticed what I thought was a bit of a jiggling motion to the ride. I own a 1998 XC70. Has anyone else noticed a jiggling motion while driving their 2013 XC70 T6? Consumer Reports made a comment about a jiggling ride in their last XC70 review. If you have noticed such a jiggling motion, what if anything did you do about it, other than get used to it? Thanks
Like the term "jiggly", so when is is most apparent? Hard starts, easy take off? I only ask because I have noticed my 2010 felt funny at take off, it feels like the gas pedal return spring is too weak and if the car starts out quickly and you reduce pressure on the pedal it sets up a rocking horse sort of motion. Kind of like when you have a mower that stops when you pull back on the handles and it throws you forward releasing the pull and pushing on the handles giving it gas thereby throwing you back pulling on the handles and so on and so on......or is is suspension related? Just a thought.

Interesting - I have found the same thing with my 3.6l v70. I suspected that the struts we're going bad and I've just recently begun to experience some slamming through smaller potholes so I'm going to take the plunge and throw some new Bilsteins on the front. I will report back to let you know if this diminishes my "jiggling."Mark144 wrote:Like the term "jiggly", so when is is most apparent? Hard starts, easy take off? Update: I threw 4 Bilstein shocks on and it has totally transformed my car. It no longer jiggles and the front end no longer pops up at take off. What a change!
