Bummer. The front seals won't work with a standard camshaft and I think the oil passages got shifted around so even if you have the CVVT hub I still don't think it would work properly on your block. A phone call is certainly in order.

Yep, I confirmed it, wrong head so erie is sending one tomorrow and refunded 55 dollars for new head bolts. The engine was never fired, so I should be good with the gaskets? Thanks!

Head gasket will have crushed and mated with the unique texture of the first head.

I would replace it. Why the head bolt refund? They can be re-used.

There is none other than the name. Technically Volvo calls it Continuously Variable Valve Timing, or CVVT but everyone pretty much knows what you mean when it is shortened to VVT.

They do. Volvo insists that you change them any time the head is off but guys that do this every day say you can get by with re-using them once. For a guy like me that changes out one or two heads in a decade (hopefully) I just buy the new bolts and then I don't worry about it.

Volvo head bolts are not stretch bolts they are "torque to yield" Look on this forum for the definitions or google it. They can safely be reused at least once especially if new.
