2001 V70XC Fuel filler pipe leaking

Post by Marcobrick »

I have been having a look at a friend's XC which is leaking fuel onto the forecourt when filling up. I have found the leak, it is where the hard hose joins the flexi section before the tank. The problem is, it is near invisible because of the AWD subframe etc.

Can you remove the whole filler pipe assembly (I can just reach to undo the clamp at the tank end) without dropping the subframe/tank etc? It looks feasible, if fiddly, but I was wondering if anyone on here has done it before
