greetings all,
question for experienced board members, did Volvo make a 1989 240/245 turbo wagon automatic?
I am looking at a nice 240 wagon that I want to convert to turbo,
thanks R
1989 volvo - none
I am not sure about the specific answer for that year... but...from what I have read, it is easy to light pressure turbo the engine b230 on a budget. (400-500)
If anyone has a good link for a build thread on a forum, would be cool to see...
You would need a turbo exhaust manifold, turbo (like a cheapo 15g off an 850), modify exhaust, intercooler, tap the block for oil, ect. I heard you can get away without a tune or an oil cooler and still get 5lbs of boost relatively easy. I am planning on this but first wanting to see if my car is worth putting money into (the driveshaft feels like it vibrates under load: the carrier bearing was already replaced)
