2002 XC70 Want Blue Calipers, But Can't Find Any for Volvo

Post by 2frufru »

Hello fellow Volvoites. Does anyone know where I can purchase calipers or caliper covers that are in color? Specifically the Volvo blue color. I think that they would look so nice behind my wheels. I have not found anything but red on line. I'm hoping one of you may know a trusty source. Thanks!! :D

And easy to do given you can find the colo you like. I used anti rust paint and stays well in place, just cleaned the caliper well with a brush.

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping to not have to paint... but c'est la vie!! I see a brush and cleaner in my near future. :-(

Not sure which paint is the best, but use a good one. Or better apply first an anti-rust primer. I just had to brush, and eventually remove the caliper to make it easier - but even without removing it it gets good results. I'm looking to paint it again - not big fan of the glossy alu look. Perhaps will go either with a light gray, black or very light blue. Just ordered blue led lights for the side mirror lights (the one when you push the yellow remote button), if you are fan of blue

I painted the drums in the process but it looks horrible. Will paint them some dark grey.

Only the rear calipers are paint at this point. The color was pretty darker on the bottle, but it still looks good enough.
