I got a 2000 S80 that just quit running one day while idling. It acted like timing belt but the belt didn't break. My question is, "when the crankshaft mark is lined up, is that suppose to be TDC? because all my marks ling up but I have to turn the crank an additional 90 degrees to get the #1 piston to tdc. I thought maybe the Keyway was shaved on the Crank pulley but there isn't one, it's splined. (my first Volvo can you tell?) Any ideas what could be wrong? It the crankshaft mark on a Volvo 2.9 isn't necessarily TDC that my timing is lined up but I have no compression.
