Hi all,
I've been learning quite a lot from everyone on here - Thank You.
My 2000 V70 (242,000+miles) is showing symptoms of the ETM, Mass Air issues that I've been reading about. How ever I've gone through the process of cleaning the Air Mass, Pulling off the ETM and thoroughly cleaning it as well. I've added water treatment and injector cleaners to the fuel, and replaced the fuel filter.
The car continues to sputter-off while driving down the road, forcing me to pull-over wait 5 or so minutes before it will crank again. Sometimes it will drive for 90 miles, sometimes it will drive for 90 feet. My last two fill-ups have been with premium fuel to encourage the injectors cleanliness, I'm not sure what else I should do!? I just spent $1500 on shocks, struts, bearings, right front axle so i'm not interested in junking it quite yet.
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Some basics first.
Is this a High Pressure Turbo, Low Pressure Turbo, or a non turbo car?
Is the check engine light on?
Is the ETS light on?
Is your ETM a yellow label or a white label?
Have you read the OBD-II codes on the car?
If we can get some code numbers we can help you quite a bit but without any kind of codes the best we can do is guess which typically isn't terribly helpful to you. If you get the car scanned at an auto parts store be sure to write down the actual Pxxxx code number, that is much more important than the description of the code that they will tell you.

Lee thanks for the reply,
2000 V70 non-turbo
The codes that were showing before we cleared them are as follows :
P1618
P0300
P0420
P0335
P0785
I'm going in the morning to have them re-read.
The stalling issue has not changed and seems to have gotten worse.

The big one there as far as stalling is likely the P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor) and that may actually also be causing the transmission error codes since that also gives transmission input speed to the TCU. The P0300 is a symptom of misfires rather than a cause, it is just saying multiple misfires on multiple cylinders.

Okay, thus far I have done the following and the car still stalls and dies.
Water treatment for fuel - premium fuel in the next two fill-ups
Injector cleaner for fuel
Replaced fuel filter
Cleaned Mass Air Sensor
Cleaned ETM
Cleaned IAC
Replaced Crankshaft Sensor
The odd thing to me, is that in the mornings when it's cool outside the car cranks, warms-up and drives me to work with no issues. But, when I am leaving work and the temperature is warmer, the car tends to not idle for long before stalling out and usually by the time I can get it to a parts store to read the codes, it runs fine and no codes register.

How is the temperature gauge behaving? Since this seems to be temperature related it could be a bum ECT sensor that is feeding incorrect engine temperature back to the ECU. That won't always post an error code unless it is completely unplugged or completely shorted out. The temp gauge should go to the 3:00 position and pretty much stay nailed there when things are working properly. Aftermarket ECT sensors are notorious for sending the wrong temperature back to the ECU and the ECU makes bad decisions based on that.
