Front and Rear Differential Maintenance

Post by Jat007 »

Greetings,

I own a 2007 Volvo XC90 V8 motor (non-sport model) w/85K miles and I was wondering if you have to do any maintenance to the front & Rear Differential?

So far the maintenance that this XC90 had at this point is, Tranny flushed (done at a Volvo Indy shop), Spark Plugs, Air Filer and Cabin Filter, which done by me. I used oem spark plugs from Volvo, except for the air, cabin, and oil filter. The Volvo indy shop used synthetic oil rather than the JW3309 type for the tranny when I had it flushed last year. They told me that what's they out in and I will see the big difference, which is true especially when you live in the cold climate (Minnesota) like me. Motor oil flushed every 5K miles with M1 full synthetic.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Jay

I posted some DIYs in forum.

For spark plug, I use NGK Iridium, info also in forum.
