Up grade front disc brakes

Up grade front disc brakes

I read some where you can up grade front disc brake on my 850 wagon to a S60 parts. Does anybody know the detail on the parts ? I am new to this forum.

I've not heard of that modification yet. It may be possible. What brakes are you using? Are your front rotors 280mm or 302mm diameter? If your car is currently fitted with the 280mm rotors, you can upgrade to the 302mm rotors using your existing calipers but you need to change the mounting bracket for the caliper and the rotor. Also, if your car is using 15" wheels you will need to change wheel size to 16".

I have heard of someone who fitted S60R brakes to the rear of his V70R (2000 MY) but he had to modify the mounting bracket and caliper to get it to fit.

Hopefully there is someone out there who has done this on an 850 who can confirm.
