Hi All. This morning I started the vehicle and while waiting for it to rev down from the cold start i was looking at the instrument cluster (thinking how will i fix the dead fuel gauge backlight) and saw the check engine flash once and the engine kicked off the hi rev start.
I haven't yet scanned it, but the check engine light did not remain on at any point.
I suffer every time i start it and it goes to 15-1600 for about 30 seconds. I like to idle low for a bit to warm up..........
whatever it is... after fixing it, i could use the fault to stop the dreaded rev up without triggering a hard code... like putting a switch to the offending sensor to kick it to 500-600 idle...
Any body experienced this?

they are, but this rev up was interrupted a few seconds in. The check engine light blinked once and kicked the engine out of -cold start mode- to a regular warm engine idle speed.

THere is no way to keep it from this warm up, I believe is a CEM programming or similar.
As for the light, perhaps there was a momentary misfire

Several Volvo Repair Videos https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... s0FSVSOT_c
Scanned it and did not find anything related.
CAN error is my fault... Installed an interface to get audio, BT and HDRadio input in the factory stereo and didn't reset after unpluging fiber optic.
AQS is just too expensive to replace
