Well, lube, grease, oil, lotion, freezer, hammer, nails, meditation, etc. did nothing for me to help get that upper torque mount bushing in.

With the upper torque mount I replaced 2 of the bushings by chamfering the edge of the plastic with a grinder so it would enter the mount. Otherwise it would skew every time. I used a vice and a combination of wooden discs made with hole saws and a large bearing.

Experience wins out...you've tried it all....Like I said, I've not done one EVER on any car. I really like your press. Simple to make and it works well. I've been putting off replacing my engine mounts, but have some time to do it this afternoon. I bought the two easiest to replace, lower front and upper torque mount by the air box. I have looked many places and don't find the torque specs for the 14 and 17 mm bolts on the lower front mount. Can anybody tell me what they are? It looks like there is not a lot of room in there for a torque wrench but I'd like to try. I am always leery of putting big bolts into an aluminum block.

From the Haynes manual, where all specs are "in Nm with oiled threads" according to the footnotes:

Thanks. I'm not quite sure how to read that since there are 3 different torques for the "right hand engine mounting to engine bracket" Maybe it will make sense when I get the bolts off and can tell what size they are. When had a bad thuderstorm yesterday afternoon so I didn't work on the car. Lightening killed my modem so I didn't get a chance to see this until now. Yes, the mount has three kinds of fasteners, if you read carefully you will notice that they aren't all the same, only one torque spec (not three) is for the "right hand engine mounting to engine bracket."
I would advise probably figure it out before taking anything apart, not after. Look at the mount setup with the torque specs in front of you. There is a bracket on the engine (has a spec, but likely you will not be touching these bolts), the mount connects to that bracket (has a spec), and the mount connects to the subframe (has a spec). It is pretty straightforward.

Be careful with the front engine mount under the crank pulley. This is a VIN number specific part order since there are two different styles of mount and they are definitely not interchangeable. One appears to be pretty easy to change, the other not so much due to how the part is designed. There is reinforcement webbing that interferes with the ability to mount and turn a wrench on one style of the mounts. Here's hoping you don't have that style. . .

Thanks again. I understand now. I noticed that the wording above the torques was different but figured it might just be something the editor missed. I lost my Haynes manual for the V70. It will show up eventually but I have no idea what I did with it. My only solace is that of all the Haynes manuals I have owned over the years for many different cars its is probably the worst one (in my opinion). Any manual is better than none at all, though.
