My sons done it again, blew the air bag, (fell asleep),he is ok, 2nd time, found a doner, have to swap air bag, clock spring and drivers seat belt, there was no passenger in vehicle.
3 questions:
Does the control module have to be replaced or can it be reset?
Will the pass seat belt have to be replaced?
What years will fit a 93 940 non turbo?
Thanks,
Rick

1993+ 940s have an on-board diagnostic system for the Supplemental Restraint System that both monitors the system and stores any fault codes for later diagnosis. You can read and erase codes using the OBD box in the engine compartment.

I finally have gotten the module p/n 0 285 001 042 (says 01) I'm assuming (there I go again), 1 air bag no pass bag,
Will a 0-285-001-040 (says 02) out of a 94 940 work since your only using 1 air bag.
Just for info, 1 person in vehicle, blew drivers airbag on impact (driver ok), minor damage to car, had to replace air bag. clock spring, both seat belts, and air bag module. All from the yard. Thank you (---- a p---)
For resetting the SRS module or reading codes see Bill Durhams earlier post in this forum
