Hi new guy here...
can you tell me if this would be the same set up for a (cvvt) 2002 v70 xc 2.4L?
I removed the cvvt and the intake sprocket to replace the seals, I was so sure I marked everything after lining up all the marks and installed the rear cam locking tool.
Now its all back together new belt, tensioner, idler.
But the only way the belt will go on is with the exhaust cam with the cvvt going back counter clock wise one tooth... No matter what try....
What the Heck am I doing wrong??
thanks Jay

On vvt side you need to rotate back slot at slight angle to line up front mark to 12, then put belt back on. That'll be about 1 tooth off.

Right now its running but rough and when I turn it off there's a little back pressure pop sounds like its from the intake side.. car ran fine before the seal blew...

That will basically take you to front marks alignment condition you had before taking belt off. In that condition the back slot on vvt will be slightly angled.

You're slots are horizontal in this condition, just need to remove belt and rotate exhaust to line up front mark. You did not touch the 3 vvt screws for hub adjustment, correct?

No I didnt touch those 3 bolts.
If I remove the belt and move gear to the right it lines up and the hub it at its limit..Spot on. It's when I put the belt over it, it lands on top of a tooth . That's were im running into the problem. I have to rotate the hub to the left one tooth for it to fit.
Rear cam tool is locked in place, crank marks are still spot on....
grrrrr!
