2001 s40 oil pan shattered

Hello everyone, I have been lurking on this forum for quite a while for various fixes and troubleshooting on my s40.

but i have hit a wall with the oil pan replacement...

which is an amzing writeup but I still have a few questions.

This oil pan was shattered in december. I covered the wound with plastic, but was unable to repair until now...should i still try and fix it?

If yes then is there anything else i should do?>
and how do i determine what o rings to purchase...


I really appreciate any and all help because both of my cars are disabled at the moment.
