2000 s70 GLT SE Black smoke bad smell
I have black smoke coming out of my exhaust and it smells bad. Also my Rmps goes up and down. I have a cylinder 2 misfire I have a code reader. What should I do to fix this? When the rpm goes up and down the dash lights dim as well

The Black smoke and bad smell are from unburned fuel going through your catalytic converter. It is not all getting burned because of the misfiring cylinder(s). Pull the coil and spark plug for that cylinder. The plug will probably be wet. Most likely your coil(s) need replacing. To test, swap the coil to another cylinder, if the problem moves, the coil is bad, if not then the coil may not be getting power, or there is a mechanical issue. (most likely the coil though

I'm not sure that the misfire would cause it to run that rich but deal with the known problem first if the cylinder 2 misfire is consistent. The coil is the usual suspect but do the coil swap test as described by FLXC90 first since the coils are fairly expensive.
If you don't have a ETS light then simply cleaning the throttle module may cure the rest of the problem. Be careful not to soak the position sensors when you clean it. The position sensors are problematic to begin with and if they get cleaner into them and onto the contact surfaces it pretty much does them in. The part that needs to be clean is the throat and the butterfly, if the outside of the module is dirty it doesn't really matter.

What about Maf?
Those symptoms are pointing to a bad Maf.Ocassional misfiring are just a following product from unburned fuel which is covering spark plugs with carbon.
Any codes?

Pull all 5 plugs, keep them in order, and lets see a pic
That will help you choose MAF or coil

When ever you get multiple codes, you have to stop, clear them, and address them with your head. Usually its best to deal with the first occurring code. Its common for poor running to throw additional ghost codes tha don't require parts to fix.
