With symptoms you have....everything points to a bad Maf.
Problem you had before with fluctuating rpm and NO black smoke from the exhaust, should be because of bad ETM module.Do you have/had ETS light on?
Bad Maf symptoms are always fluctuating rpm and black smoke from the exhaust.

Disconnect maf connector and see if the car runs better. If it does....Maf is bad.

I think that you just found the reason for misfire.
Check other coil packs for damage.

If that is the coil for Cyl #2 (closest to the oil filler) it looks like it is covered with old oil from either a leaking filler cap seal, or a pressurising PCV system. Do the rubber glove test (pull the engine oil dipstick and run the engine with a glove over the dipstick tube). If the glove inflates the PCV needs to be replaced ASAP.

Otherwise, clean all the oil up (including the area in the tube down to the spark plug). Pull the plug and check it for burn marks on the ceramic near the base. Swap the plug and coil for a good one (coil can be from another cylinder) and see if the problem goes away or moves to another cylinder from which you took a good coil as others have suggested.

If you have any good Pick and Pull yards in your area, you may be able to get a good used coil from another engine. Take any other than the coil from cylinder #2. I have a theory that leaking oil runs into the area around the spark plug for cylinder # 2 and causes the coil to short out, eventually burning the valve out.

Neil.

Oil is not conductor. It can't "short" things.
