Hi again,

I am happy you mentioned that. I will be sure to use my parking brake now and then just to keep it working.
I used it for a test a few weeks back, and it seemed to work, so i'll use it now and then and hope there are no more problems with the back brakes for a while.
The noise i was hearing did not sound good, and you have to wonder what is really wrong when you hear that, and you cant play around too much with such an important part of the car like the brakes.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.
1998 v70, non turbo, FWD, base model, on the road from April 2nd, 2015 to July 26, 2023.

I sold afew of these locally and have great feedback from customers.

Otherwise Mintex or Textar aren't bad if you use the shims.
They can still make noise as mine did if you don`t use the shims and silicone brake lubricant on the back of the pads.
