2001 v70 xc removed intake,now cant remember vacuum connecti

check engine back on small leak evaporative system .I give up.

The evap system takes 2-3 days of driving to self test. Your gas cap change didn't turn it off, probably.

i agree the gas cap change only made the light stay off a little longer, now its back on .I clear the code and it comes back.small evap leak. I dropped the muffler and got up to that sh!t azz charcoal canister and j tube , you can barley see it! it feels fine! At work when we suspect leaks in lines we pressure test " HVAC tech".Can I pressure test this system or something to narrow it down?

Smoke test is better. Don't put high pressures on this system, you can damage stuff. Just a few psi.

Those hoses can split I ways that are hard to find. Couple of folks here have posted threads on cool homemade smoke machines. Really popular in CO and WA for some reason
