1999 s70 GLT Evap Vent Solenoid Question

Post by MicahS »

Got a "major leak" diagnostic in the Evap system and was told it is the Evap vent solenoid located at the rear passenger side charcoal canister. I can't seem to find the part anywhere. All I am finding is the vapor canister purge valve and that is not the right part. Is it called something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a rollover valve that also is used to pressure test the system on ypur 1999. It lives back near the right died rear wheel under the car.

Component placement changed between the 1998 and 1999 model year so be careful residing the 1998 evap threads! The functionality is very similar. Check the Volvo repair database for reference material.

Thanks for the tip. There was a leak. Got an OEM charcoal canister shut off valve. Replaced the ABS module and ETS as well. Codes were all clear and good for a few days. Engine light came on today again...we shall see.
